Not up for a full recap this weekend. Too much and not feeling well. All disclaimers apply.
Bullets:
Crowds, FINALLY! Did privy duty for 1 hr 15 min at the end of Sunday not including the other two times I did it earlier in the weekend for about an hour at a time. Surprised I have my voice, even if there wasn’t enough toilet paper. Men have it easy.
SUPER STUPINA! Wearing a cloak is fun. Super Stupina flew …on her bench... in her cloak for patrons. She sang impromptu songs about passers-by. There is something about crowds that get my juices going and really let me go wild.
STICKS ON MY NOSE. Gotta love when you hear a question and turn to realize a patron has fallen down laughing from what you just said. I showed her my stick (only thing left after the little girl took the leaf that the Anti-Craig gave me) and she started laughing again. Nice to know that the silly is appreciated. I walked the site balancing a stick on my nose and singing, offkey and loudly, about it.
PLANS…oh they are a coming. Romance war hit to me never arrived, but the ones that I had delivered went FABULOUSLY!!!! INSANELY SO! WHEEEE! I love this stuff.
Rain spat on Sat and went away. Stupina hid a bit under her cloak deciding whether or not she should go away. Working outside the gate was fun. Especially when there are lines. LOVE crowds…honestly. I do. Only thing is trying to leave site at the end of the day. That sucks.
Why were the few times I walked by management all weekend also it the times that I was between schtick...arrrgh.
Dinner at Outback on a Sunday night is not impossible. Only waited 15 minutes for a table for 4.
I like Double-T, no matter WHAT others say.
I am so looking forward to a pita pocket on closing weekend. I am so looking forward to chocolate on closing day. I am so looking forward to an alcoholic beverage on closing day. I want Cream of Crab Soup.
Shows went well. Stupina got a fan email this week saying that he and his friends sang the Bowls Song all the way home on Sunday and asking if I would make an mp3 of it. I have no idea who this guy was, but it made my day. Trying new things again. Little things not many people would notice, but I like seeing how people respond to the changes.
No birds of prey anymore. Sad, especially since they kept my box safe. Had to trust in the fates. Next weekend is last one with Bedlam. Made Grant sing for me his special promised song. He owes me one more this weekend. Always makes me cry. Something in the words touch so very deeply in me and I respond.
Lawrence and Vyxen are great and helped me with the T-shirt sales. REMEMBER, YOU WANT A STUPINA T-SHIRT, YOU HAVE TO COME TO REVELER’S BOWER BETWEEN 4 and 4:30. I CAN’T SELL THEM ONSITE ANY OTHER TIME. ONLY TWO WEEKENDS LEFT. Still can’t find the original bag that had the start up money. $100 or so lost. Pisses me off, but I may have just dropped it somewhere. I just don’t know and haven’t been able to find it. Green zippered bag with cherries on it. If you see it, please return it to me…le sigh.
LOTS OF PIRATES. I miss Stubbs so much. Like a big brother to me. He has the best hugs. Louis is wonderful as ever and apologized to Stupina. She feels better now.
Baby Stupina didn’t get out much. Too much privy duty to get done, though she did do it with me Sunday morning…don’t ask. I am trying to direct people and a little kid says “oooh, a puppet” I am trying to manipulate the puppet while pointing the line to stalls. Not easy, especially when my eyes were EVERYWHERE else.
Looking forward to the weekend. Want to go home. Want to play. Sorry it’s not pretty this week, but there was so much and I am only brushing the surface. Sigh.
Maybe next week.

Date: 2003-10-09 02:45 pm (UTC)How the heck are we supposed to get more TP in there anyway? Ran out in at *least* 3 privies at one point on Sunday... trying to keep those in mind for 'standing room only" was a challenge.
*g* And BTW, I did finaly realize that it was easier to sing at people than continue to project otherwise for that long... now all I've got to do is come up with some more things to sing out... "Free Privies, get your Free Privy" gets rather old after a while...
Any ideas?

Date: 2003-10-09 02:54 pm (UTC)Thanks for sharing, Michele! I always wish I could see what everyone (um, not at the same time, though) around faire was experiencing. Always amazes me that even two people who are together all day can have a totally different view of what's going on around the place... multiply that by the thousands there Sunday, and....
