My parents came to stay with me on Sat. eve and went to faire on Sunday. Saturday night they told me how I was looking better than I had in a while.

I sat briefly with them and had lunch on Sunday (steak on a stake time) and my dad commented to me that I seem my happiest when I am at faire. That I light up and seem so comfortable. As if it was my natural habitat.

I wanted to tell them, "this is home for me", but somehow it didn't seem appropriate. I am comfortable at my childhood home, such wonderful memories, but faire is where I feel complete.

"I love my job..." It's not just a tag line, it's the truth.

[livejournal.com profile] thewhitedragon actually said that to his parents. he even said that the people at faire are not just like family to us, they are family.

the best part is, they understood it completely.

i looked for your 'rents, but i never found them. pooh. i would have liked to meet them.

You're lucky--there are very few people in the world who truly enjoy their jobs, even if they're doing something that they're interested in and love.

Bravo! :)
