I also ended up going out and getting the neti pot I keep talking about. Not bad at all. Guess I started as a mouth breather. The problem is the drool factor when it's going in and you can't swallow. Should have taken a break, but it was going so well.

Still gunky, but better. I think this will be a big help come the weekend with the dust...

Think yoga breaths. Helps tremendously...and don't try to swallow. Just let it run and think alot about mouth breath. Make you forget the other part too. Plus, if the water is warm enough, you almost don't feel it.

This is true. The hardest part of it (besides curbing the drowning panic) was sorting out the water temperature.

My directions said to use luke warm. Maybe i got it on the first try.

The directions with mine also said lukewarm water--it's my faucet I was having issues with. I could get cool water, or warm water, but lukewarm water seemed to be beyond the thing without huge volumes of water at the same time. I was one damp tchwrtr from the testing even before I got started.

I did stop and start a few times, getting the hang of it. Like all things, this will take practice, I think. And I agree--the faire dust won't know what hit it.

The only really gross part was the gunk that comes out and the desparate need to blow your nose after.

Other than that, eh, just a bit of saltiness, but the most minute amount. Not bad at all. Maybe I am a mouth breather...
