Dammit...if someone has a journal that has not chosen some fancy journal style, and they put things behind a cut, I can't read them on my mac. This SUCKS. I am not sure what is happening, cause it wasn't like this before, but now, I can't read squat unless I want to open the program AGAIN from the other computer. I like to keep lj on this one.

I will be updating this soon, I just have to keep telling myself this...but it still sucks.

So wait - I don't have any simple styles, and you're telling me that if I put something behind a cut you can't read it?

You're using Internet Explorer and OS 9, aren't you?

You gotta get either a better browser (best short-term solution) or a better machine and upgrade to OS X, so you can use Safari (long-term solution)...

How big are your two drives?

Last I checked the Minis came with 80 GB drives. I would think that would be plenty of space if you're still using OS 9.

By the by... what's your old hardware? It may be possible to upgrade it so that OS X can run on it.

Set your preferences so that you see all the files as your style preference. Then the only time you will run into problems is when you comment on certain people's posts and forget to hit the stop button right after hitting send (my Mac's browser quits unexpectedly when I comment on certain people's journals).

I wish that LJ would have a setting to have ALL the screens in my preference.

I feel your pain. I'm running OS 9.2, Netscape 4.79

And to top it all off, Internet Exploder 5.1 (the highest IE on my OS) all of a sudden won't let me view any cuts or comments.e

All of my similar issues were fixed when I switched to the firefox (new mozilla) browser. . . it's really, really a great browser (no, I'm not a stock owner). I suggest giving it a try:

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

They have it for all kinds of systems and languages.

I was thinking about suggesting that, but I didn't know if they had Firefox for OS 9.x machines...
