Decided I will stop by the meet and greet tonight since I have to go shopping at Whole Foods and the Mall right by there tonight.
Probably won't bring anything as all I can do is drink some water for the short time I am there and I only want to say hi to everyone coming into town. I am thrilled with what this month's intensive diet has already done for me, but it makes it an absolute bitch to try to eat out or with friends.
It's ok, it will all be over two days before faire ends. Of course, I will be splurging on the last day of faire...and I CAN'T WAIT for that. I don't want faire to end...but I REALLY miss chocolate right now. All in good time.

Date: 2003-09-26 01:05 pm (UTC)So for 30 days (Till Oct 15/16), I am cutting out ALL sugars...including lactose(dairy), fructose(fruit) and lots of others. Right now, I am limited to protein, fats (olive oil, butter, and natural fat from meat that I eat), and SOME veges. Can't have onion, tomato, potato, corn, beets, carrots, etc. cause of the sugar in them. Even the veges I CAN have have sugar (brocolli, spinach, lettuce, etc.) but it is limited and I need the fiber to not get sick. If I need a sweet flavor, I use Stevia.
I am also taking a number of vitamin supplements now.
She hasn't named it, I think it's based on alot of her research and reading. And what I will end up doing will be slightly different since the sugar issue may be a life thing, so I will have some additional permanent limitations...that I will consciously break on occasion, knowing that I will have to let my system heal afterwards.
Portion stuff is sensible and I eat 5-6 times a day, so I am never hungry, but the sugar cravings are a bit nasty at the moment. I know there is an end in sight, and I CAN'T WAIT to have that cashew butter I started by accident a few weeks ago. . THAT was amazing.
Like I said, I WILL have chocolate and alcohol on closing day...it's the rule, but I will feel it the day after, and possibly the night of. Housewarming, post eggnog, time 5.
