Lovely evening
Jan. 7th, 2005 09:12 amSo I had made arrangements with a group to see Ted Garber again last night at Clyde's in Columbia. The organizer had said we should all get there early and do dinner first. I was just about ready to go when I got a bit farther held up than I wanted to and called to leave a message that I was going to be late. Once I got there, I found out that the only other person of the promised group to show was Cozit. We went in, got a table in the smoke-free bar area, both had yummy soups and salads (her's with Iced Tea, Mine with a Chocolate Mint Martini). Dinner was great, conversation, though quieter than expected, was good.
Ted was in good form. Last week when I saw him, his voice had cracked a bit on a few songs. Tonight, he sounded quite good. He sang one original piece again. Cozit had to leave around 11:30ish, but I stayed to the bitter end. He did only 3 songs in the last set, but they were good and it was a nice way to end out the evening. I gave him a hug goodbye, chatted a bit, he complimented my new blue hat, and off I went home. I tried calling Ca_Amethyst to have company on my drive home at 12:45 am, but her phones were off.
Dani, Ted says "where were you!?!?!"
