mother f*cker
Dec. 20th, 2005 05:38 pmSo, while i was out of town, a friend stayed at the house and was using my pc to check his email. I have a mac for more personal stuff, but he didn't want to use that...
While going through his email, he clicks through his email too fast and clicks on a link that takes him to a website. He tries to leave it right away, but it's too late. After he prints everything out, he turns it off...and now I have a trojan.
I have spent the entire day working through every fix I can run and find on the internet. I am now trying to run norton on safe mode, run ALL the spyware I have again and hope to god when I reboot, I will be ok.
If not, I have to wipe the whole thing, after making sure I really have backed everything up.
I hate pc's, can I just say again how I hate PCs?
I have informed my friend he is only EVER allowed to use my mac now. I can't do any of my regular work and if we have to wipe this, I won't have my programs as they are at my boss lady's in NC. This might be defunct until around xmas when she comes up to see her family. She can drop the disks off and I spend a bunch of xmas uploading everything again. Reboot, install, reboot, install.
And that is if she still has everything, cause I really don't think she has the OS from when she got my dell.
