So I have a gig in Baltimore at the convention center this morning at 9 am - 11 am . I set my alarm for 6:30 to get up, made up, dressed and deal with the construction on 295. I go to bed. I wake up and it seems rather light. I look at my clock. it's 8:43 am.
I call my agent in a panic and let her know what's going on. Luckily I had pulled out the clothes last night. I get dressed, wash and brush, pulled on the bangly bangly earrings, and run out the door with the cards. I make GREAT time and end up parking at 9:03. I head into the event, find the coordinator and am set up 3 minutes before the hall is open. The agent is ok and I don't lose any money, I will be fine they say.
The readings go mostly well. I always like to see people's eyes start to bug when they come up with cynicism and I give them an accurate answer. The booth I am sat at all get readings (one person 3 times). I read a few moments over (which balances out to just about 2 hours after all). The booth gives me a small tip as a thanks.
I run out and head to the Annapolis mall to get my contact lens fitting...it IS the time of year when I wear them alot. That ends at 12:20 and I rush home because I am expecting a repair man for my rebroken freezer...which is working perfectly now. I called and cancelled the appointment. Not sure how that happened.
Now working playing catch up. I have alot to do. Deadlines are approaching and I am getting a bit stressed. Rehearsals are good, costumes are looking good, my weight is finally going down. Stress, but in a good way.
Of course, there was one person who called and couldn't ask enough questions about stuff that really wasn't his business, or was, but not to the nth degree. God's death what a pain.
I can't wait for Mercury to start moving forward again.
