My tax dollars at work again

I looked out after the snow stopped and noticed that my fence gate looked funny...I went out and saw that someone had tried to forcibly open my fence...very forcibly. They had half ripped off one of the planks of the gate fence and pushed the door partially in and heavily out (the door goes in).

I called the police. The officer that came out was quite kind and helpful. He noted that there is only property damage, and it will be noted, he gave me advice for other ways to protect my house, and Eldon and I are going to do that stuff tonight. I have told my one neighbor and will be telling the other shortly. We will be keeping our eyes out for each other. Sadly, I don't have a barking dog in my house.

I have gotten some other advice on how to protect my home, some evil, some quite useful...the electric shocking anyone touching the gate seemed to be my favorite at the moment. We shall see which I can afford to do.

I am angry, furious. It looks like they tried this post the snow, which would mean when I went out to get groceries today or even when I got back. But it could have been last night when I was at rehearsal. I feel trapped in my own home.

They won't like what they are creating...I guarantee it.
