Random Faire music question...

So, for those of you at other faires, what are your favorite big music groups. Ya know, the ones with lots of sound. Just looking to expand my listening...

Have you tried listening to the Renaissance Festival Podcast? They play music from faire acts all around the country.

my two favorites are The Rogues, and Empty Hats...

And I'm partial with Queen Anne's Lace.... since a good friend sings with them.

Of non-MDRF groups, my favs tend to be Empty Hats (Sterling), Poxy Boggards (RPFS), and Three Quarter Ale (GARF).

Pint N Dale, aka William Pint and Felicia Dale. They're not only fabulous people but together they produce more sound than all the pyrates put together. You can find them at www.pintndale.com

Well, you asked for big groups with lots of sound, did you have a chance to see Albannach last season? At CRF, I'd have to say our favourite minstrel is Bret Blackshear (imcurious.com). He has two albums out, but he's not a group.

Definitely The Minstrels of Mayhem (now split into Celtic Mayhem and The New Minstrel Revue) and Empty Hats.

I like the ones posted - do the Lost Boy's play at MDRF? They were so much fun at GARF, and Tom came and sang a bit at our new pubsing at CRF
